Taco Magazine is a fictional magazine that finally intersects feminism with Mexican cuisine. Take a bite out of that!

On the technical side, I did it all: I designed the covers in MS Paint and Photoshop, wrote headlines and sold them as prints at comic festivals.

I love the jokey double entendre of taco and then creating this alt world where A-list female celebs were being profiled on their opinions regarding Mexican cuisines, totally seriously. Other headlines are inspired by the teen magazines I grew up with. The project started when I was working in sales as a day job and progressed when I started ad school and got better at headlines and photoshop. It’s a project that lets me be totally fun, silly and kinda stupid as well. But that’s what I love it, hell I know I’d read this zine start to finish.
