This is a creative proposal we had made for Young Lions 2020 Open Brief for UNWFP. Our challenge was to develop an integrated campaing that would raise awareness about food waste, but also trigger a long-term action to help solve a global food waste problem.
We found out that since 1960 our dishes have increased in size up to 36% (Source: Wanstink & Van Ittersum | 2007). This is the consequence of what was exactly our insight for the idea: “People feel the need to see their plates full” We didn’t won even a shortlist, but we felt very proud of our work and we also know, even unconsciously, we are also responsable of the food waste problem, so we feel the responsibility of being part of the solution through our work and day-to-day habits, and that’s why we hope to be able to make ideas like this come true.
