During their session, the Mt. Freelance team shares advice for turning a side project into a side business and then open it up to questions and discussion.

Aaron James and Andrew Dickson are big believers in personal projects. In fact, they independently got their feet in the door at Wieden+Kennedy Portland because of personal projects in their portfolios.

While they still freelance as an art director and copywriter respectively, they recently started Mt. Freelance a course and community designed to help creative freelancers freelance more successfully.

While this is Andrew’s first side business, it’s Aaron’s third. He’s also runs the Hitting Vault and was the managing director of the soccer magazine Howler.
